Cyprinus carpio is the fish that symbolizes traditional Japanese taste known as "Wa." The fish swim so calmly and never against the flow of a river. Their form is famous as a motif of Japanese tattoos and artifacts. My modelling theme is of the Japanese aesthetic, and cyprinus carpio is suitable to my concept. My spoon design expresses the characteristics of cyprinus carpio with its beautiful form and the sense of the Japanese virtue, "modesty."
